About the Speakers
A/Prof Wee Hwee Lin
Director, Centre for Health Interventions and Policy Evaluation Research (HIPER), Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore (NUS)
A/Prof Wee is the Health Economist PI of FHCARE (Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Case identification, Assessment and Reduction in Adverse Events) cross-cluster clinical implementation program, supported by PRECISE’s Clinical Implementation Pilot grant scheme.
A/Prof Wee is passionate about maximising value which health services can provide to patients and health system. Her research has been used to inform policy making in Singapore and Thailand. She has represented Singapore in several international professional organizations, including the ISPOR Health Science Policy Council.
A/Prof Tavintharan Subramaniam
Senior Consultant, Diabetes Centre, Admiralty Medical Centre, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and Deputy Director, Clinical Research Unit, KTPH
A/Prof Tavintharan is the Clinical PI of FHCARE (Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Case identification, Assessment and Reduction in Adverse Events) cross-cluster clinical implementation program, supported by PRECISE’s Clinical Implementation Pilot grant scheme.
A/Prof Tavintharan is a recipient of NMRC Research Fellowship, MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship and Alexandra Health Researcher Investigator Scientist Enabler award. His clinical interest is in diabetes mellitus, foot complications in diabetes mellitus and familial hypercholesterolemia. He has published in several high impact peer-reviewed journals like Metabolism.
Ms Irenaeus Paul Chia
Manager, Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE), Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS)
Ms Chia is part of the Clinical Implementation Team in PRECISE. She has been part of PRECISE since its inception, as a programme manager supporting its Grant Management and Health Economic and Policy Analysis work.
